Marlene was an Order of the Phoenix member who was killed in the first war against Lord Voldemort.

Fandom

In Marauders fanfiction, Marlene is a popular Blank Slate character. She is often portrayed as the best friend of Lily Evans, building on a brief mention in Deathly Hallows that Lily cried all night when she learned that Voldemort had killed all the McKinnons. Marlene is also often used as a love interest for Sirius Black.

Back during the Three-Year Summer, almost the exact same role was often assigned to Arabella Figg, whom little was known about at the time. However, this became untenable after the fifth book revealed that Arabella was an elderly squib.
