Recs & Reviews

  • This vid has absolutely blown me away. Visually, it's stunning. I mean that literally--after watching it, your eyes will be twirling and your mind will be reeling. It's incredibly dense--the vidder is making tons of fascinating visual connections between Lex and Clark that I don't know if I ever would have seen on my own. Also, I think raspberry_splat does an amazing job of bringing us into Lex's POV; I feel like I got an insider's peek into the maelstrom of his thoughts and emotions. Just--if you are at all interested in Lex or Clark or Smallville or vidding, do yourself a favor and watch this vid. I'll be over here trying to pick my brain up off of the floor." ~ talitha78[1]
  • I'm very impressed with your vidding--your use of cross-fades in particular to draw out visual connections and add emotional resonance is very sophisticated. It's something I really struggle with in my own vidding so I envy you your eye for such things. I'm also blown away by the scope of the vid and the seamlessness with which you blend moments from across six seasons. The inescapable nature of fate is well explored through Lex here, without making him a 'woobie' character; he comes across as powerful, locked in an eternal struggle with his destiny and linked to Clark.~bop_radar[2]
