Joan Hanke-Woods was a fan artist.
Guest of Honor at Windycon in 1984. Hanke-Woods also did the art for two program book covers for that convention.
Woods won a Hugo Award won the Hugo Award for Best Fan Artist in 1986, after having been nominated for the award every year since 1980.
Hanke-Woods passed away in 2013.
