Summary
Gabriel and Nathalie obtain the rabbit miraculous and travel into the paths of time as Velveteen and Mayura, with the goal of preventing the chain of events that would lead to Emilie’s death. But on their way to Tibet, they encounter surprising visions of possible futures that leave them questioning what is possible and what they really want.

OOOOhhhh my gosh. I was totally captivated from start to finish with this. Every bit is everything I have ever wanted XD This is why they need to get the rabbit miraculous in the show, because this fic right here is some good shit! All of those potential timelines/futures they saw, a perfect amalgam of angst and fluff and drama. I was sitting here on the edge of my seat the whole time. I also appreciate how restrained their reactions were all things considered. They really tried to hold it together despite the things they saw being insane to them. Ahhhh this put my heart through the grinder! Velveteen seeing the worst possible future and the best (even though he doesn't know it yet) is so good!!! I hope that Nathalie's instincts are right about both of those timelines being close to where they are now. I totally think that he is in love with her already but has not been able to admit it to admit it to himself yet! How wonderful, a really great job! 😍I loved reading all the tension present in the story, recognizable by Gabe's unconscious hesitation, because even a single small detail changed in the past could upset all the present and the future!
Um, I don't know why the first two scenarios I imagined that they were present (the "tragic" one and the "happy ending" one, but also to think well there was the one of Tibet...) Ahem, I digress! 😅 Anyway, I'm very happy (and relieved) with Gabe's choice... As much as he may not like what happened, it can help him to mature from his experiences and his pain to become a better person.
