Homeward Q is a gen Quantum Leap/Star Trek: VOY story written by Mercutio.

It was posted to alt.tv.quantum-leap.creative in 1995.

Summary

"Sam leaps in Q's body, as Q (an omnipotent entity) is about to harass the crew of Voyager (Star Trek). Al must convince Q to work with Sam in order for Sam to be able to access the powers of the Q, which he needs in order to send Voyager home."

Author's Notes

The characters in this story belong to Paramount and whoever doesQuantum Leap, not to me. Blah blah blah lawyers coming to get me, aha aha blah blah. In case you were wondering, this is a crossover between Star Trek Voyager, Q, and Quantum Leap, and was written entirely as an excuse for me to get Al and Q to meet. [1]

Reactions and Reviews

What's that is about? Well, the Idea was good: "Sam Leap on Q" (Q- the omnipotent being who picked on the StarTrek's Crew with his games to test the humans)

First the author used the Mind-Leap theory as the center of the storie. So Sam swaped mind with Q. (Not body as it are) and Sam got Q's power to bring the Voyager starship back home.

GOOD POINTS:

- Al and Q talking about clothes
- "Click your heels three times, and repeat after me, 'There's no place like home'." (he he)
- "Use the force, Luke," Al quipped. (Oh, the author use StarTrek as our future, but StarWars was just a movie {ya, me too})
- Sam don't use Q's Power to got (his) home (right, keep leaping is better)

NOT SO GOOD POINTS:

- Mind-Leap
- Q entered on the Waiting Chamber and Sam Could see and Heard him (impossible, unless Sam were using Q's power without knew it)
- They didn't get any problems to leap and talk with aliens
- Q didn't got Swiss Cheesed effect
- Q was so peacefull

IF... Q leaped with his body (if he has it) he could destroy the PQL

... Was a good reading but some author could write one About Q playing with the QL Characters. [2]
