Hævnen is a Danish drama thriller film, better known worldwide as In a Better World.
It focuses in the lives of two Danish families linked through their children, Elias and Christian.
Fandom
The film's fandom is extremely small, and for a long time there were only two fanwriters, Evelina Anavrin and Elli Vaughn which deleted her works.
Until March 2022, the fandom had only 7 works at FFN and 6 works at AO3, written by the authors Sigurd2008 (1 story), Mislav (5 story) and E-Hedebrant (3 story), most of them fic being crossposted on both platforms.
Many of these fanfics focus on the relationship between Elias and Christian, with tropes from angst, futurefics and slash. Because they are presented as 12-year-olds in the film, some of these works explore the shift in friends to lovers between the characters.
Works focused on Anton/Marianne are found in smaller quantities, thus being even rarer than the fandom itself.
