Gordon Korman wrote his first book, This Can't Be Happening at Macdonald Hall (197?), as an English project at the age of 12. He continues to be a prolific author today.
Most Gordon Korman fanworks (sometimes called Kormanfic) center around his Macdonald Hall series (also known as the Bruno and Boots series) about friends at a Canadian boys' boarding school. However, several of his stand-alone novels are also popular sources for fanworks, particularly I Want To Go Home! (1982) and A Semester in the Life of a Garbage Bag (1987).
