George deValier is a fan writer in Hetalia: Axis Powers fandom. He is notable for writing many emotional stories on the site FF.net, although he has stopped writing, leaving many works unfinished. His WW2 AU, the Veraverse, based off of the singer Vera Lynn during that time, is extremely popular. His Fanfiction.net account was deleted sometime in 2019, without any warning, resulting in the loss of all his stories. There haven't been any further updates regarding the deletion, leaving his fans to speculate about his whereabouts. His works have been re-uploaded by fans on Wattpad, Archive Of Our Own, and Fanfiction.net. His original works can also be found on the Wayback Machine on entering the URL for his fanfics.

Blanket Statement

In his FanFiction.Net profile, George provides a blanket statement giving permission for further transformation of his fanworks:

I am perfectly okay (quite ecstatically happy, actually) with people doing whatever they like with my fics – whether that be translations, fanart, cosplay, AMVs, whatever. You do not need to ask permission - I will always say yes. All I ask is three things. One: please credit me as the author (and a link to the original story would be fantastic). Two: please let me know so that I can check it out and thank you profusely! And three: something I hate to have to mention, but please never do anything to make money out of these works. Obviously, Hetalia does not belong to me – it belongs to Hidekaz Himaruya, who is quite awesome indeed for giving us such fantastic characters to play with.

• Auf Wiedersehen, Sweetheart is one of the most popular fics in Hetalia and Germany/Italy fandom. This fanfiction featured an Italian resistance member and a German fighter pilot who met and slowly fell in love. Being such a tearjerker fanfiction, this fanfiction is one of the most brilliant WW2 AU fanfiction. This fanfiction is a companion story to We'll Meet Again.
• We'll Meet Again is another WW2 AU fanfiction which is one of the most perfect America/England fanfiction that ever exist. This fanfiction featured an American fighter pilot and a London pub owner.
• Bésame Mucho features Spain/Romano. Another beautiful WW2 AU fanfiction which is a companion story to Auf Wiedersehen, Sweetheart.
• [1] is one of his less known, yet great fics. While not in the Veraverse, it features the Nordics in a college AU, and the pairings Denmark/Norway and Sweden/Finland.
