for the love of god don't let foc (freaks of color) speak for the entirety of their race. is a tweet by passionpeachy on December 19, 2019, in response to a comic by GOALIENGO, a Chinese woman, comparing Eastern fandoms' enthusiastic approach to fictional incest versus Western antis' approach.[1] It should be noted that passionpeachy is not Asian by race or nationality.

art by GOALIENGO which passionpeachy referred to. It was posted on twitter December 16, 2019 and captioned: "the biggest culture shock to me (a asian weeb girl) is actually"

The Tweet

Immediately, many people asked passionpeachy to retract her statement for racism. At first, she doubled down, saying "pedophiles of color/incest lovers of color are fucking shitty and will NEVER speak for their entire race when they say that shit is acceptable in their culture"[2] and also "at least I'm not an anti-anti."[3] While this was happening, many people claimed she was following a Reimob[4][5][6] porn artist, which she later denied while apologizing for her phrasing.

I’m sorry. I messed up. The context of this screenshot is me getting angry at pro-pedo/incest shippers that try to say it’s “accepted” in their culture to like this content, specifically someone saying the eastern hemisphere accepts it BUT the way I said it was inexcusable (1/?)

and I deserve every amount of criticism I get. I was angry, I was edgy, I didn’t think it through and I don’t want anyone to defend my actions because as a person of color I really should know better. Not only that, I spoke up on a very touchy subject that NEEDED sensitivity.

But instead I spoke with crass, stupidity, and a phrase that was just VERY racist and distasteful. I’m also aware that Americans are just as guilty of supporting fictional incest/rape/CP but I made it seem like they’re “purer” when they’re not. I truly deeply apologize.

I still think fictional incest/rape/CP is not ok and that opinion isn’t going to change. I want to apologize directly at everyone who was rightfully upset at my ignorance and it’s okay if you never forgive me. Just know that I have read and thought about everything you said

And have taken everything to heart and I’m grateful that I was called out for my wrongdoings because I’m gonna do better. Again, I’m deeply sorry and remoserful. Hurting you is the last thing I wanna do. I accept my consequences.

Others have brought up that I apparently follow some artist that posts Mob/Reigen content? I have NO idea who this is, I’m not even in the Mob Psycho fandom really. I just like some of the fanart and I follow carelessly. Please tell me who this is so I can block immediately

GOALIENGO[7]

Please someone tell me I fucking hallucinated a big name artist/anti saying 'freaks of color' and thinking they're the morally right one. because holy fuck

Being disgusted by it: Understandable, okay, nothing wrong

Attacking people over it, thinking people are FREAKS OF COLOR because of it: Not cool, makes one an abuser Eastern fandom greatly values this desire of not wanting to see certain contents, tags are extremely important here. People will write in their bio of potential "landmines" to warn to-be followers, yes even non-artists. They also invariably write "FUB free" to indicate you are free to follow, unfollow, or block them in case you don't like their contents (unlike Western fandom where unfollowing or blocking someone is seen as a sign of animosity). To you, oh anti-fujoshis who keep thinking you caught me everytime you ask "why do you need a label if you are just enjoying mlm contents like everyone else" this is the mcfreaking answer.

And before you say that's homophobic, people can dislike certain mlm or wlw pairings even if they're not homophobic. I block certain mlm tags because I'm a yumejoshi in those fandoms.

I think we do need to point out that the person who said the words "Freaks of Color" was an American born Mexican.

The fandom police isn't just comprised of evil colonizers, but also of people doing everything in their power to distance themselves from their "problematic peers" "You're not a person of color like I AM, you're a FREAK of color"

This is especially bad in Americans, yes, but I feel like a lot of general poc have this mentality of "we can't be racist! We're poc!!"

Yes, love, we CAN, in fact, be extremely racist and dehumanizing.

Off of twitter, the tweet would also be discussed in longer formats, such as the dreamwidth essay, Western LGBT fans and entitlement by heipaohshi, who described it as "a culmination" of "experiences causing frustration for Chinese and Asian fans."[8]
