FatT Pinup Week is a Friends at the Table fanweek centred around pin-up art and other erotic or burlesque fanworks, first organized by Arp in the summer of 2023. Arp officially described it as "an unofficial Friends at the Table fan event encouraging the playful eroticization of our favorite podcast characters."[1]
The first round ran for two weeks, from July 18 to 31, 2023.
Format
For the 2023 event, Arp provided a list of seven prompts, each corresponding to two days of the two-week period. Each prompt was also accompanied by "flavor text" suggesting some possible interpretations,[2] though interpretation was left up to each individual participant and broad interpretations were welcome.
For each prompt, or for as many prompts as participants felt inspired to respond to, fans were encouraged to create pinup art or other fanworks and tag their work with #FatTPinups and #FriendsattheTable. Works were then reblogged/retweeted/reposted and rounded up on the event's official Tumblr, Twitter, and Cohost accounts.
While dates were provided for each prompt as guidelines, fans were permitted post their responses to prompts at any point during the two-week period for which the event ran, or even long after the event had ended for the year.[3]
The rules were as follows:
- Pinups are traditionally visual, but entries of any medium are welcome! Prompts are intended to be interpreted broadly.
- Characters from any season are free game as long as they are adults - when age is not explicitly defined err on the side of caution.
- Nudity is allowed, but tagged entries should not be sexually explicit.
Prompts and Responses
A number of fans posted pin-up and other suggestive or erotic fanart for the event on Twitter, Tumblr, and Cohost.
