Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap is a free, digital zine dedicated to the Great Ace Attorney duology. The project is centered around depicting the characters from the games committing or planning crimes.

About

The zine was first announced on social media on February 16, 2023 as a project to be released for free and online[1]. Given the subject matter, the project was planned to be completely safe-for-work. Blood and moderate depictions of violence were allowed, but excessive gore and suggestive and sexual content was not[2]. Ships would not be the main focus of the project and whether or not they were allowed would depend on the results of the interest check[3].

Applications for a layout mod were open from February 23 to March 5, 2023, but were later closed early on February 27[4][5]. Interest checks for the zine were open from March 4 to April 5, 2023[6]. While a majority of contributors were invited onto the project, applications for pinch-hitters were opened on April 6 after some of the original invited contributors left the project[7].

The zine was released on September 13, 2023, on itch.io[8]. Digital merch was also up for download, including digital wallpapers and icons.
