Captain's Log was an anthology fanzine published in the US by Cindi Casby. It contained episode reviews, art, con reports, and fan fiction.

Captain's Log 1 was published in September 1975. It contains no art.

Issue 2
Captain's Log 2 was published in July 1976. It has a front cover by Howard Weinstein. The back cover is by Cindi Casby.
The art is by Alice L. Jones, Doug Simons, Billy Boye, K.R.B., and Howard Weinstein.
This issue was dedicated to the Commodore Hotel.
NOTE: the pages are not numbered and the table of contents listed in the zine is not an exact match with what's in the zine.
From the editor:
This issue contains some drastic changes from issue #1. I hope you find them improvements. Unless otherwise stated, the words and opinions expressed herein are mine, (Cindi Casby), There are 4 people who have become staff, K.R.B,, Todd Romeiser, Jean Ellensbacher, and Alice Jones, who will be doing some things from time to time. There has been many other offers, and the staff still has some room to grow. I think you will really like this issue, and the zine. Your comments and suggestions are welcome and encouraged. Oh, by the way, there was suppose to be a story in this issue but it wasn't finished on time, "The Ark" (Tentative title) will be in issue #3, which should be out by The end of August. Your contributions are wanted. Free issues are used to pay contributors. The deadline for that issue is August 15th. L L + P.
The editor's closing remarks:
Well, folks, it is time once again to bid you adue [sic], I have a few things to mention, as this page is going to press last of all. First, I beg forgiveness for the delays in getting this issue out. Life has its terrible times for all of us, and I have had a hard last few months. I am also sorry that "The Ark" didn't make it, but it just needed more time. I am taking a creative writing class at the local college that I hope will improve my style enough to aid in the story.
And to get the rest of the apologizes [sic] out of the way, my proofreader went on vaction [sic] to New Hampshire, and I do most of my typing when I am tired, so the graphic errors are many, and again, I am sorry about the repo on the Spock page by Alice. Also, as I am sure you have noticed, I can not spell for my life, although my Editor, KRB, catches many of my goofs, sometimes the pages were already at the printers. And speaking of printers, well, at least the job was always done on time, even if it had to be redone anyway. Now on to the good stuff. I need a cartoonist, but until one voluenteers [sic], I will have to do the filler myself. If you think these are corney [sic], please offer your services, an artist I am not.( But I AM very proud of my Balok's monster on the back cover.) The zine is improving, I think, how about you? Please write me. Money is not necessary, I just want to hear from you. Please!
Thanks to all our supporters in the LNAF. We ran one small ad and were sold out of iss #1 faster than we could mail them out. They are all gone, but, as you should have been notified if you ordered one, they will be reprinted in August. So please let me know if you STILL want one, if I don't hear from those who ordered iss 1, I will just put the money towards ect [sic]. Or if you wish, return the extra money (Some collectors want only first printings.) Thanks to all, see you in Canada.

- Artist's Corner ("The picture on the following page was drawn by a lady named Mrs. Alice L. Jones. Take note; this is a very poor reproduction, the original is much more dynamic, like a photo, but the half-tones won't show up on this press. [personal info redacted] She has recently found time to return,to her profession. She did a large number of pencils for the Boston Con art show, and much to the dismay of my empty wallet, they were gobbled up by the crowds as fast as we could bring them out. But I did get this one, and I have had Mrs. Jones do another one for issue #3 - This is called "Fascinating". The other is "Ni Var". And another thing I would like to comment on, I notice that many of the Trek fans don't ever visit the artshow or auctions. If you haven't, you don't know what you are missing. We have some VERY talented people in fandom. Mrs. Jones is only one example.... If you like Mrs. Jones work, write and tell her so, and write and tell us so too. She will have more of her work at Bi-10 Convention, so watch for her.")
- review of Space: 1999 ("Well, what can I say about this show that hasn't already been said? Not too much, really. It is an insult to the intelligence of anyone over the age of 5. The acting is poor, although I doubt if that fault lies with the actors. It makes the greatest science errors ever made, the most obvious being the speed of the moon, it is not only different every week, it is scientifically impossible. The costumes and colors are drab, and reminiscent of the old LOST IN SPACE show. I wonder if they borrowed them? The basic problem is the entire format of the show. It couldn't be improved without a total overhaul of the format. If you haven't seen it yet, it isn't worth the bother. Except for the special effects, which are pretty good, the show is a nothing. Please, if you want to live long don't mention it in the same sentence as STAR TREK around me.")
- Song of the Issue: Pompous Circumstance (filk) ("Well, folks, it's time again for the song awards. May I have the envelope please. Ahha! We have a real goody for you this time. As some (But not many) of you know, the award last issue went to "The Battle Hymn of the Helpers". This tune goes to the tune of Pomp and Circumstance. It was written by (I believe) by Mr. Steve Hartman at the DDP (Dead Dog, moose, aarvark, ect. [sic]) Party at the end of Feb. con 5. Congradulations [sic] Steve, you should be honnored [sic] to get the second highest award we give.")
