Kirk and Spock arrive on a planet to attempt a diplomatic resolution to conflict between the two intelligent insectoid populations. Sabotage strands them in a region where they are attacked by large wasps which lay eggs in them. Oooh, ick. Rescue is effected by a combination of Spock taking Kirk into a healing trance, McCoy's persistence in a search party and discovery of the saboteur by a local leader. Standard stuff. [1]
