The Black Jack Saga is a series of fancomics that take place in the Disney's Zootopia universe. They feature characters from the original source material, such as Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps, but introduce original characters like the protagonist Jack Savage* (Rabbit) and his colleague and possible love interest Cynthia Walker (Vixen). The story-line takes place after the original film, because both Judy and Nick are members of the police force. Jack comes to Zootopia to recruit officers for a special mission, and problems occur when he recruits Judy and not Nick.

The comic is written by aoimotion and illustrated by rem289. Aoimotion talks about its creation:
Black Jack has been original conceived as a plain, mundane WildeHopps comics. The very existence of Jack Savage was just an excuse to show Nick and Judy’s interactions in a romantic contest. But, just as Black Jack was being made, I had started to write a long-fiction (in Italian) featuring not only Jack Savage but a great variety of original characters[1]
Reaction
Black Jack became extremely popular in Zootopia fandom. The first chapter has received over 17,000 notes on Tumblr[2] and over 3800 views on Deviantart, as March 2018.[3] Fan KeyWiteWolf commented:
Your art is superb, especially your expressions. This is absolutely professional-grade comic work (and I have read a lot of comics), and it baffles me slightly that you are not a major published artist. I love Jack and have some to think of him as a truly cannon character. He fits so well into this world[4]
and OceanSummoner13 adding:
I wish Black Jack is canon to Zootopia! I want this to be the sequel itself! Disney is missing out![4]
