Alpha and Omega is a 2010 animated film by Crest Animation Productions that infamously spawned seven sequels, none of which were especially well received. The series is notorious for it's foray into strange and far-fetched developments as the franchise went on, and is frequently compared to the likes of The Land Before Time as a result.

Canon

Using outdated concepts for wolf pack hierarchy, Alpha and Omega follows two main characters, an omega wolf named Humphrey and an alpha wolf named Kate. Humphrey wants to be Kate's mate, but is reminded by their laws omegas and alphas cannot mate. The eastern pack and western pack squabble of food sources as food becomes scarce, and decide to merge their packs with a royal wedding by mating Kate to the eastern pack's alpha, Garth. Kate doesn't like Garth.

Kate and Humphrey get tranquilized and sent to a national park where they are intended to repopulate the wolf population of the area, but if Kate can't find a way back to marry Garth war will break out. Garth falls in love with Lilly, Kate's sister. During the journey back Kate learns to love Humphrey, but war breaks out as Lilly and Garth's love is discovered. Kate and Humphrey finally return and Kate says she will marry Garth to stop the war, but at the last minute declares she loves Humphrey and Garth loves Lilly.

War breaks out a second time, causing a caribou stampede that knocks Kate out. Everyone howls together regardless of social class, thinking she is dead. The war ends and the law that alphas and omegas can't mate is abolished. Kate and Humphrey marry, as well as Garth and Lilly.
