Allyson M.W. Dyar was a zine editor and fanartist primarily in the Star Wars fandom.

Allyson discovered fandom at the 1972 ST Con in New York which she found out about from an ad in "New York Magazine." She went on to be a gofer at that con, and worked with press relations with the last three.

Allyson, along with Germaine Best and Nora Bock, ran the press room at Toronto Star Trek '76 and the Bi-Centennial Con. She was also on the staff of Boston Star Trek where she ran the ballroom part-time.

She was a co-editor of Alderaan with Jeff Johnston from 1978 to 1981, and of Comlink, a review and letterzine, with various co-editors from 1981 to 1994.

She served as calligrapher for Organia (1982) and Sahsheer (1979), and has contributed fanart to Alpha Continuum (#3 and #4, 1977-1980) and Personal Log (#1, 1980).

Allyson also served as an editor of the Star Trek Welcommittee Directory for the Star Trek Welcommittee.

She was a member of the Nichelle Nichols Fan Club, The William Shatner Fan Club, and Second Age.

Allyson was also the person behind the five The COMLINK Annual Readership Surveys.
