Summaries

The Discovery: in a worn and weary biblioteque on the Left Banke [sic?] in Paris, a yellowed manuscript in the hand of John H. Watson, MD, is salvaged amid the decaying papers and aged books and, carefully parceled, it is sent Stateside for authentication, editing and ultimately, publication.

The Mystery: chapters and word-pictures entice the reader back in time to the 1890s, to fog-shrouded London cobblestone streets painted by gaslight, to the time of the world's first consulting detective - Sherlock Holmes ... to a young man, darkly hand some and driven by some unseen power - an American named Quentin Collins - and to his Quest after the illusive golden woman known as Laura Murdock Collins, a woman whose past will draw both men across the Channel and across the Continent to the land of the pharaohs ...

The Solution: the confrontation travels from Alexandria, Egypt, to the vast wind-swept plateau of Giza ... where deduction and logic battle centuries-old sensuality and the the Phoenix' fiery powers ... silhouetted against the pyramids and the sphinx, wrapped in magic and very human elements, comes this STUDY IN SHADOWS.

A STUDY IN SHADOWS, skillfully edited by William J. Hunt, illustrated by Barbara Fister-Liltz, published by Peggy Ellen Green for Pandora Publications - $5.00 postpaid - the Debut Novel published by Pandora Publications: To order, kindly remit the price to -- Barbara Fister-Liltz [address redacted].
