A Friend Such As You is a gen Star Trek: TOS 65-page novel by Susan Warvill. The original date on the novel is 1981, but it was published in 1984. Artwork by Donna Foster and Sandra Finch.

Reactions and Reviews
Kirk is presumed dead and Spock feels unable to continue on the Enterprise. He is persuaded to stay by the crew, but eventually goes back to his original decision. The story explores the relationship between Kirk and Spock and introduces another Vulcan/human friendship. We also meet a very lovable alien. [1]
