I became Vehemently in 1998 after a couple years of lurking in X-Files. (Yes, I am old.) My first mailing list (Xapen) also included active writers Red Valerian and Viridian5, so I could not call myself V. for short. Hence the spelling "Vee."

I have now been in fandom for ten years, but thanks to a sense of discretion, I have not actually seen everything. I have a couple of sayings, the mildest of which is: "Unfortunately, fandom is full of stupid and insane people, because fandom is full of people." Which gives you a general sense of my attitude towards human folly.
