Hello, I'm effietheant--stole this username two decades ago from a children's book about an ant with a loud voice! I've been in fandom since 2000, officially, when our first desktop computer and DSL internet gave me access to early Harry Potter fanfiction. What a wild ride it's been since then! In 2018, I joined the Fanlore Committee as a member of the Social Media and Outreach team. And in 2021, I became the Outreach and Communications Editor for Transformative Works & Cultures!
