Club Description
THE LOST JEDIS is a fan club for the SW fan with a different bent. It is a group of people who are recreating the lost glory of the Republic, TheJedi Knights who served the Republic so faithfully are now gone, with the exception of a few who found refuge in distant, hostile worlds. Now the Jedi have a new hope, a young warrior, Luke Skywalker. Once, he has fought the renegade Jedi, Darth Vader, and survived. The old order is being resurrected, won't you help?
THE LOST JEDIS is a club with many goals and focuses, to satisfy the interests of all SW fen. First, it will operate as a correspondence club, for the people who wish to write to other SW fen. Secondly, it will publish several different items: a quarterly (or if well received, bimonthly) newsletter, containing the most recent material on the upcoming projects of Lucasfilm, etc., secondly, a semiannual fanzine, printing the stories, poems, and artwork of club members and interested people.
The first printing of the zine will be in the summer of '81, and will be printed twice yearly, at cost. Club members are asked only to pay the price of printing and postage if they want the zine, and, if they want the newsletters, send SASEs to cover postage. The club is young and needs active members to make it a success. Anyone that is interested in helping put out the zine or contributing is welcome. Additionally, if enough people express interest, local sectors can be set up. Besides these ideas, anything else is fair game. If you have ideas for other activities, (an information network, con announcements), relay them to me.
This is a critical time for the galaxy. Will it be forever under the dark control of the Empire and Darth Vader or will a new and shining light be shed on the free worlds of the New Republic? Everyone must help if the Rebellion is to succeed, surely you will?
