Reactions/Reviews

  • "I was iffy at the beginning because song starts off slow but as it picks up in pace so does the action on screen and by the end of the vid I really enjoyed it."[1]
  • "I was loving it already, with the awesome fades from color to blue, but then you made the whole thing even darker by dragging Ten into it and the music went crazier and... Oh perfect. 'Cause with Nine, at least you had the sense that it wasn't always so precarious, but with Ten? No way. Ten is dangerous and pushes the game every time and is so wildly unsafe.."[2]
  • "Okay, so I already have this terrible habit where I get obsessed with one particular vid and make everyone watch it and have the song stuck in my head for a week. But there have been only a couple of vids in my fannish history that have kept me awake at night, distracted me so much I missed my bus stop, etc Congratulations. This vid just became #3 on that list. I thought about this thing all day, and I don't think I'm done yet." [3]
  • "This is, in pretty much all ways, a much better vid [than Laura's vid Wouldn't It Be Nice. It shows mastery of the technology, of the medium, of the music. It's multi-layered, deep, meaningful, rewards multiple watchings. And, for me, it is a purely intellectual vid, in the same way that Wouldn't It Be Nice was a purely emotional vid. I'm working hard when I watch this vid, and I can tell - my brain is on, my feelings are off. And I can also tell that I'm not getting everything that is on the screen, not even close. My response is not unbridled squee, the way it was to Wouldn't It Be Nice. It's more, "Wow, I'd better watch that a whole bunch more times." I still don't get every frame. (A better vid-watcher, for the record, totally would. I'm not good at this, remember?)"[4]
  • "I'm sure you've seen this somewhere, because the internet is very good to us, but you must watch it again, because it is epic. It's about Rose and the Doctor, and it's not 100% flattering, and also, pretty true."[5]
  • "Rose as Eleanor Rigby drifting through life. He comes but it’s all too much, no one was saved. Father Mackenzie burys her in blue, Wendy abandoned by Pan. A vid that pulls you in on a rush of emotion and dazzles you with its intelligence in retrospect."[6]
