The Great Ace Attorney Art Collaboration is a collab for the Great Ace Attorney duology. The project was chiefly organized by milaza. Artists chosen for the collaboration draw one character from the series to combine into one piece of fanart showing the entire games' cast.

History

The project was teased on March 5, 2023, with a screenshot of the project page[1]. Sign-ups opened from April 1 to April 30, 2023, or when all 52 available slots were filled[2]. Capped at 53 artists, the project accepted artists on a first-come-first-served basis. When filling the form to sign up, artists were instructed to write at least eight characters they would prefer to draw, with at least four minor side characters in their preference list[3]. Artists are also allowed to choose that they're find with drawing any character. All slots were filled up within a day of opening[4].

Character assignments were completed on April 2, 2023[5]. Over the process of the creation stage, the project's social media page shared images from participating artists' accounts of their progress pictures. All submissions were due by June 30, 2023[6].

The project was launched on July 27, 2023, on its own website[7]. Each artist's illustration could be individually interacted with to view on its own with the artist's name and notes on the illustration. Some illustrations changed to a bonus illustration when hovered over with a mouse.

Some time around September 2023, the project's social media account was archived and repurposed into an account for a new Ace Attorney zine project.
