The Beginning[1] is a short story written by queen_ypolita as a treat for trueriver for Yuletide 2010.
This story features Mic and Jan from Purposes of Love and is told from the perspective of Mic, from his first meeting with Jan to the point where they become lovers, and his realisation Jan will not remain with him (but determination to enjoy the relationship for as long as he can).
Comments on the story include:
