I'm pretty sure this may have originated from The Interwebs Series (early 2010s I think). I remember following it, an webcomic, really big fandom at the time:

Though I don't think Twitter/Tumblr was popular then. I was actually in that fandom for a while lol... It surprisingly very active community, with a lot of in-person cosplay events/headcanons, so there were a few different ships --Fitz (talk) 00:16, 3 May 2024 (UTC)
