Squidgeworld Archive & WWOMB

Regarding this comment on the page,

Following the move to Squidgeworld Archive, some began to view the archive as an alternative to AO3.
This one is for all the “I hate the ao3 but where are we supposed to post our fanfiction????” people:

Squidgeworld is the first site that has used AO3′s (free, open-source) code to create their own separate archive. Now, they’ve posted documentation on the process of creating their own site with AO3′s code!

Go forth and multiply the archives! Archives for everyone!

I would argue that this comment is about Squidge.org rather than WWOMB, and as such should be moved to the Squidge.org page instead? --enchantedsleeper (talk) 18:00, 28 May 2021 (UTC)

An amendment: I should say that the comment is about The Squidgeworld Archive, of which WWOMB is a part but not the whole? It seems to me to be set up more like an Open Doors-style import: https://squidgeworld.org/collections/pejas_wwomb
This page seems at times to treat The Squidgeworld Archive and WWOMB as one in the same, such as with this line,
In November 2020, WWOMB converted from eFiction over to the automated, open source software that runs the AO3 archive, created by the OTW. Renamed SquidgeWorld Archive; it is the first website to use Ao3's open source software.
But I think it would be more accurate to say that WWOMB was imported to The Squidgeworld Archive? Edit 2: The main page at WWOMB also uses the wording "imported to SquidgeWorld", which seems to further back up my impression.
I don't think "Squidgeworld Archive" should be a redirect to this page, but rather should be either its own page or a section on Squidge.org (though I'm leaning towards the former), because it's a project run by Squidgie that plans on hosting other archives (see this post) whereas WWOMB has remained as a closed collection within Squidgeworld Archive. So I think Squidgeworld goes beyond WWOMB at this point.--enchantedsleeper (talk) 18:45, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
That is a very good point! And as there isn't enough info for Squidgeworld Archive to get its own page, I do like the idea of adding that info and quote to squidge.org and redirecting the redirect there. --Auntags (talk) 21:04, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
I think there is scope for a page with the documentation + fan comments + other associated posts (assuming it will grow more in the future), but we can start it as a section and see how we go? --enchantedsleeper (talk) 21:35, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
100% agree. And thank you so much for making those changes enchantedsleeper. I was logging on to do just that! --Auntags (talk) 20:48, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
