possible duplicate and definition inconsistency
A glossary page for The Golden Trio already exists. Should this be renamed to something else or should the pages be merged? The list of HP ship names lists Golden Trio as a nickname for the romantic ship Harry/Hermione/Ron--is that a mistake? The AO3 tag for Golden Trio is also a mixed bag: of 985 total works tagged, 237 are tagged Hermione Granger & Harry Potter & Ron Weasley and 81 are tagged Hermione Granger/Harry Potter/Ron Weasley, so it looks like the term isn't exclusively used in a gen context.--aethel (talk) 03:16, 22 January 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, I think this page and The Golden Trio can be merged. I started the latter in August 2021, oblivious to the fact that an older page covering the same term already existed. Sorry, my bad! I'm not sure about the romantic relationship. Maybe it's one of those cases where both meanings are possible? Maybe in different branches of the fandom? - I believe the mistake is mine and not yours SecurityBreach. The Golden Trio is older than this one. This page used to be a redirect of the Harry/Ron/Hermione one and that is the reason why it's older and still listed as a synonym of Harry/Hermione/Ron in the List of Harry Potter Relationship Names. Around October last year I asked for advice on creating a gen relationship article about gen Harry, Ron and Hermione and flyingthesky suggested that I could use "Golden Trio" as this was the term used in fandom. I totally missed The Golden Trio article that already existed and I apologize for that. --Alpha (talk) 10:13, 22 January 2023 (UTC)

- It's April and I would like to know if this page will be converted into a disambiguation page while The Golden Trio will be the main page with this content merged into it. It's because I want to add an image of the trio, but I'm not sure which page I should insert the image on -- Ellakbhesse (talk) 14:57, 7 April 2023 (UTC)
