How does Dollhouse fit into the Jossverse? What about more recent stuff like Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog or Whedon's Much Ado About Nothing movie? Er,,, both of those were over a decade ago now, wow. I'm guessing no one considers Whedon's work on the MCU part of the Jossverse, but looks like he's done some other new projects where he's the biggest name, like The Nevers. Have any of those been folded into the Jossverse, from a fandom perspective? Or is the idea of a Jossverse mostly retired now that his prestige has fallen so much as a result of the sexual misconduct stuff? -- Quaelegit (talk) 01:36, 27 June 2022 (UTC)

I would class Jossverse as anything Joss created/wrote himself, during that time period when he was still very popular among fandom. So Dollhouse would count, but Much Ado About Nothing or the MCU films would not. (Although some Jossverse fans very closely followed his other projects) I've also wouldn't class the Nevers as Jossverse, because it came out very recently and I've never heard anyone refer to it as Jossverse. When you hear folks talking about Jossverse shows now, its often related to the re-examination of his work (ie. misogyny, lack of diversity, treatment of queer characters), and the Nevers came out after those conversations were mostly finished. I honestly don't know a single (former or current) Jossverse fan who even watched the Nevers. -- auntags 09:00, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
