I'm amazed to learn that this story has been passed around. It was certainly not my intent to share the rough draft with anyone but my editor, Phoebe Entwhistle. I can't say I like the fact that she distributed it without my permission or knowledge, but what's done is done. It's out there. Someday (if I can find the pages after all this time), I may even polish it up and add it to AO3.
