Sylvester "Sylvie" Ashling is a recurring character in the web cartoon Epithet Erased. He's a 15-year-old psychologist who is interested in studying the Arsene Amulet. Her Epithet (Epithet Erased) is "Drowsy", and it allows him to make others sleep or bring their dreams to life. Sylvie can also summon sheeps that he uses as a shield or to attack enemies. Sylvie's character went through several changes from its Anime Campaign counterpart.

History

Sylvie first appears in the Quiet in the Museum! episode, when he bumps into Molly and sends her to sleep. He then shows up again when the Sweet Jazz Museum is closed and is tricked by Mera into thinking that Molly and Giovanni are trying to steal the Amulet.

Relationships

  • The Museum Trio

Sylvie, Molly, and Giovanni make one of the most popular groups in the fandom. Despite their fighting in the show, fans are advocates of pardoning Sylvie, exploring his friendship with Molly, and even a brotherly rivalry with Giovanni.

Fanon and Common Tropes in Fanworks

  • Origin Story Not much is given about Sylvie's past in the show. Fans like to question how a kid has managed to obtain a Ph.D. and start his own clinic at such a young age (and its connection to Sylvie's clumsy social skills), as well as explore Dr. Beefton's origin and what Sylvie and his alter ego's relationship is like.
