SxSAS was a mailing list on yahoo groups devoted to the pairing Saitou/Sano from Rurouni Kenshin. It was founded Dec 31, 2000 and was most active in the early 00s. Though it technically remained open, it was functionally dead by the time of the Yahoo Groups purge in 2019. In 2000, it had 114 members. In 2019, there were 1012 members.
At one time, the group maintained a fic archive webpage, but this was deleted during the Geocities purge.

History
On Jun 14, 2001, the moderators banned the posting of underage fic after wank over a fic that had Yahiko in a side pairing. While many list member were squicked by the idea of shipping Yahiko, this was contentious for several reasons: First, the writer was bullied off of the list despite not having broken any existing rule. Second, some of the loudest voices opposing the fic were people who also prided themselves on the historical accuracy of their fic and their knowledge of Japanese history. Pederasty, however squicky, is not an unusual topic to have come up in this period. Some felt that the mods should have already been familiar with the popularity of shotacon in parts of anime fandom and should have preemptively banned it if they were going to react so strongly.
Originally, list members had to be over the age of majority. Later, this rule was changed to over 16 because of the high proportion of active members who were US high school students lying about their ages. This change caused a resurgence of underage wank.
