Sokubaikai (即売会, sokubaikai) is the general Japanese word for an event where new products are shown and displayed. In the context of doujinshi fandom, sokubaikai is very frequently used as shorthand to mean a doujinshi convention (同人即売会, doujin sokubaikai) in particular.
