Excerpts

Stats:

Age: Over 50

Sex: Depends on who's asking.

Profession: Teacher, writer, perpetual student, general pain in the ass.

Hobbies/Other interests?

Writing erotica, walking on the beach, reading old novels and contemporary poetry, oil painting, encrypted puzzles, computer applications, biochemistry, herbal medicine and folklore, soaking in hot tubs, exotic fish, figuring out how to grow little geniuses in my classroom.

What made you into a Skinneroticist?

Did I mention "Zero Sum"? Oh, and I have always been a sucker for a broad chested, tough, silent guy in a well-starched shirt.

What was your first experience with SIS?

I was dinking around with my new internet connection and looked for X-files stuff. Stumbled over a reference to Skinner fans. I just happened to click on Red's site first. And her story. It became my first bookmark.

What are your top five all-time favorite stories?

Cold Day in July, Oyster, Tight-Assed Cat, Shocking Blue, Sale of the Century, The Watcher, Breaching Protocol, Secret Santa.....oops, that's more than 5

When did you start writing?

I've been actually writing since I was a child. The fan-fic came about as a response to what I was reading on the net and being bothered by some of the things that Carter left out of the story.

What was the first X-files/Skinner story that you wrote and what inspired it?

The first was a scene from what eventually grew into "Scully's Choices." The scene came about as a result of slobbering over Skinner, disgust with MulderPan and speculation on what would happen if Skinner and Scully ever got it on. I pulled out one of the many vignettes that I have filed (scribbles on the back of napkins....) and started crafting the characters. After playing with it a bit, I got curious about whether it was anything that might get read by other x-files fans. I sent it to Red with a question to that effect. Next thing I knew, the woman posted it, grammar and spelling errors and all. But a few folks liked it, so I kept writing. The second piece of it posted resulted in a couple of people bashing me over the head. But I am stubborn and the bashing and Red's encouragement drove me to go find a beta, quit making stupid mistakes and finish. The story just developed on its own. It was the last thing I wrote without at least an outline.
