SiliCon was a San Jose, California fan run convention with an emphasis on fanworks but which also attracted Guests of Honor.

From 1988-1998, it was managed by Sian Blanchette owner of "A Wrinkle In Time," a science fiction and fantasy bookstore in Sunnyvale, CA.

In 1999, the event was cancelled due to the difficulty of procuring hotel contracts over the Thanksgiving Weekend and the fact that many Guests of Honor wanted to spend time with their families.

In 2001:

My name is Dann Lopez. Most of you remember me as the big guy who ran the artists colony at the last few SiliCon, BayCon, and Starquest conventions. Well, my partner, Maurine Starkey, and I have purchased SiliCon from the Blanchettes, with their blessing, so there WILL be a SiliCon 2001. Tentative dates are October 19, 20, and 21, 2001. [1]

It was advertised in Locus Magazine in 2001:

Four Points by Sheraton, Sunnyvale CA. GoH: Lillian Csernica. AGoH: Sergio Argones. FGoH: Gerry Perkins. Media GoH: Tim Dunigan. TM: Phil Yeh. [2]

In the end, Silicon 2010 was canceled,[3] and the last event was advertised through 2011[4]
