Olivia/Alex is a femslash pairing of Olivia Benson and Alexandra Cabot in the Law & Order: SVU fandom.
While Olivia Benson and Alexandra Cabot never became a couple in the show, staff was well aware of the fannish interest in the pairing:
Executive producer and head writer Neal Baer has said that an unaddressed sexual tension exists between Cabot and Detective Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay). Baer said, "We read the fan sites. We know that people are into the Alex-Olivia thing. All the codes are in there." When asked in a 2009 press call if Cabot and Benson were in love, March[1] said, "I’m not saying we’re not…I’m not saying we’re not in love."[2]

In Cabenson's ship manifesto they noted some aspects of the pairing that appeals to fans.
Incidences listed in the episodes above represent almost half of the total HoYay! moments I found. There is an undeniable connection between the two women that is not seen in any other SVU ship, except for possibly Fin and Munch. The strong, sensitive detective compliments the intelligent and snarky lawyer. Even the briefest interaction between the two characters can be seen as Hoyay! simply because of the chemistry they share. As I said at the beginning of this essay, if it looks like HoYay! and plays like HoYay!, then in my mind, it IS HoYay!
