Nick/Adalind is a het canon pairing of Nick Burkhardt and Adalind Schade of the Grimm fandom.
Fandom
Nick/Adalind was one of the show's most popular het pairings at the end of season 1.[1] Since the turmoil surrounding Nick and Juliette's relationship, there has been a recurrence of Nick/Adalind shipping,[2] and many gifs were created by the tumblr fan community, fueled by their constant combativeness, Adalind's flirting, and Nick's somewhat baffled and ambiguous response to it. Later once it was revealed that Adalind slept with Nick and she later realized she was pregnant with his child, fans of the ship were mainly happy at the new opportunities this would allow the characters to interact. Other fans of the Grimm fandom were not so happy: some shipped Nick/Juliette, others likened the fact that the two slept together was rape since Adalind was disguised as Juliette.
The fan's of the Nick/Adalind were overjoyed when Season 5 had the two living together with their baby, Kelly, and admitted their attraction to one another. Fans were overjoyed when they kissed and started a relationship. The show ended with the two together which confirmed that the pairing was endgame since the beginning, many fans enjoyed this and was happy that the pairing came full circle.[3]
