Moments: Han and Leia Star Wars fan fiction was a website with Han and Leia fanfiction and filks by Marjorie Joyce.

It was linked as Marjorie's Page at Jedi Discipline.[1]

Fascinated by the Han Solo-Princess Leia dynamic in the wonderful "Star Wars" universe? Me too, since it all began in 1977. So--with just a dash of the requisite thrilling action, political intrigue, and historical sprawl of "Star Wars"--my following fan fiction focuses on the feelings and interaction between these two strong and compelling characters. I've sprinkled Luke Skywalker throughout this fiction, too, since--well, he rules within his own right--but also because he was part of the original Luke-Leia-Han love triangle I so enjoyed before it was revealed that he and Leia were, uh, kinda related. With that, please sit back, read the following chronologically ordered short stories (hence the "moments" in the name of this web site) and alphabetically ordered filks (adapted song lyrics), and enjoy!

Short stories

Moments Han and Leia Star Wars fan fiction.png

Heroes Leia prepares for the award ceremony after the victory at Yavin, and finds solace for the loss of her homeworld at the party afterward. Offers answers to the age-old questions: when did Leia actually utter her quote in the "Star Wars" novelization prologue, and how did she end up wearing such a chintzy necklace at the ceremony? Come on, folks--you know it, I know it, the world knows it: it looks like a bunch of foil gum wrappers folded over a string!

Avalanche Angel A year after the Alliance victory at Yavin, Leia discovers then flies with a concussed Han in the aftermath of an Alliance scuffle with a small group of Imperial stormtroopers.

The Game Begins What first gave Han and Leia the idea they could actually be nice to each other instead of simply sling insults? This story suggests it wasn't just what, but also who. Plenty of character interaction, as well as a few romantic images worthy of a princess.

Don't Back Out Leia's back goes out and she has to depend on Han--for EVERYthing!

Suicide Squeeze Trying to distance herself from Han and Luke--two men in her life who are causing her increasingly confusing if not romantic feelings--Leia ends up crash-landing into a thornworm nest on Half Moon and finds her only way of escape is up a small, thorn-filled tunnel. Guess who saves the day. Plenty of searing Han-and-Leia interaction, and the usual hints at the Princess' latent Force skills.

Goodwill Gesture How did Han and Chewbacca end up at the command center with Leia when the first reports of a "visitor" outside the Hoth base came in, and how did they end up the ones to go check it out? Smugglers certainly weren't "headquarters personnel" as the announcement over the loudspeaker they'd heard in Luke's recovery room asked for. Could it have been, as the title suggests, a goodwill gesture by Han to compensate for the scene he'd just made with Leia in Luke's room? We know what a softie our favorite Corellian is, especially when it comes to our favorite Princess; odds are in her favor.

Running Out Why does Han personally see to Leia's evacuation from Hoth? Last we knew, weren't they consistently disgusted with each other? This short story, set during the fleeting scene in "The Empire Strikes Back" in which Han and Chewie are making final repairs to the Millennium Falcon as the Rebel base on Hoth is under Imperial attack, offers an explanation, exploring Han's feelings for Leia and Luke at this particular time in his life. Parallels between the yet-to-be-revealed twins are drawn, and a possibility of when Han fell in love with Leia as well as a rudimentary list of Han's attractions to Leia are provided.

Shot to Hell What was Han thinking during the Falcon's downtime in the asteroid/space slug? Did he have a game plan re the Princess, and did he really think he'd get anywhere with her by leering they hadn't "got time for anything else"? Set during the brief scene in "The Empire Strikes Back" in which Han shuts down all but the Falcon's emergency power systems in order to effect repairs and it gets "kinda romantic" in the cockpit (according to Donald F. Glut's book version of the movie, anyway; I draw on Han's line to this effect from the book even though it's not in the movie--it's just that good), this short story offers some ideas.

Be Nice What inspired Han and Leia's first kiss? This short story, set during that magnetizing scene in "The Empire Strikes Back", suggests that Han was just doing what he does best--improvising.

On the Edge What was Leia thinking in the cockpit after Han's kiss and before she discovered the "cave's" mynocks? This short story, set between those two events in "The Empire Strikes Back", offers a possibility, exploring her feelings for Han and Luke, and her feelings in general at this particular time in her life. Parallels between the yet-to-be-revealed twins are drawn (some explaining the strong if not confusing feelings between Luke and Leia), and a laundry list of Leia's attractions to and repulsions from Han as well as a hint at the softness of Han's heart are provided.

Keeping Company How did Han and Leia handle the change from being at each other's throats to in each other's arms? And what gave Han the strength to reply simply "I know" when Leia declared her love for him at the carbon freeze pit? This short story, set during the unfilmed trip to Bespin in "The Empire Strikes Back", offers an idea of what went on during the earliest stage of their romantic relationship, as well as the depth and maturity of Han's feelings for Leia. It also hints at the Princess' latent Force skills.

In Your Dreams Luke tucks Leia in one night on Tatooine during their preparation to free Han from Jabba, and sends Leia into dreams of our favorite Corellian. The beginning's for all those pre-ROJ Luke-and-Leia fans out there, but plenty of classic Han-and-Leia follows to feed the need. Full of the usual hints at Luke and Leia's "twinship" and Leia's latent Force skills, too.

Play Your Cards Right Recently reunited Leia, Han, and Luke spend downtime on Colosse during a post-ROJ supply run. Jotted off out of sheer joy at the Han-Leia-Luke dynamic and "Star Wars" legacy.

Growing Pains Han and Leia's post-Return-of-the-Jedi relationship experiences growing pains. Written to obliterate from memory their flat, exclusively juvenile interaction in "Truce at Bakura" and "The Courtship of Princess Leia"--egad!

Graduation It's time for Leia to graduate in more ways than one when she's offered a position on the New Republic's Inner Council. Written in insistence that Han and Leia are adults who make a deliberate, inspired decision to get married and start a family, not nincompoops who are pushed to marriage by jealousy and exasperation (insert your favorite love-to-hate "The Courtship of Princess Leia" scene here--sorry, Dave!).
