The MCC18 Cross-Platform Survey was a Fan Survey for the MCYT (and specifically MC Championship) fandom conducted by ahgck on Reddit. Over 2.5 thousand people participated across three different platforms - 888 from Reddit, 751 from Tumblr, and 1,151 from Twitter.

Results

Most of the survey's questions related to specifically MCC 18, but some are interesting for the wider fandom:

Demographics

For age of participants, all three platforms had the highest results be 14-16 and 17-19. Tumblr and Reddit had a more varied range than Twitter, with Tumblr skewing older.

When asked what year they started watching MCYT, 2020 was the most common year between all three, with 2012-2014 usually coming up behind it.

When asked what side of the MCYT fandom the respondents came from, Reddit primarily had fans from Dream SMP, Hermitcraft and Life SMP Series, with a notable amount calling themselves fans of Vault Hunters SMP and Empires SMP as well. Tumblr had the same three fandoms having the highest results, but also had a larger amount of Empires SMP fans. Twitter had a heavy skew towards Dream SMP, with nothing else coming close, in direct comparison to Reddit and Tumblr's relatively close numbers between their top 3.

MCC

Twitter and Tumblr tended to not think about stats and analysis very often while watching MCC, while Reddit was generally in the middle.

When asked about favorite MCC game, Reddit's top picks were Sands of Time and Sky Battle. Tumblr's top pick was Sands of Time, with others saying Ace Race, TGTTOSAWAF, and Build Mart. Twitter's top picks were Sands of Time, TGTTOSAWAF, and Grid Runners.

When asked about least favorite MCC game, Reddit's choices were Build Mart and Bingo But Fast. Tumblr was very divided, with Survival Games being the most common answer and Build Mart right after it. Twitter's least favorite was Build Mart by a large margin, with 40% of respondents choosing it.
