Opening Crawl

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...

A new government is in turmoil, formed from the remnants of the Empire and the New Republic: the Galatic Alliance, now commanded by Colonel Jacen Solo, son of Han and Leia Organa Solo, has succumbed to greed and corruption.

As the Jedi struggle to preserve peace, the Moffs of the Imperial Remnant develop a Nanokiller, a genocidal weapon that attacks the genetic make up of a targeted species. Aware of the Moff's conspiracy, Jacen Solo opposes this plan, as it threatens the lives of his secret love, Tenel-Ka, and their child Allana.

Meanwhile, the New Jedi Order has dispatched Jaina Solo to infiltrate the Galactic Alliance flagship. Her mission: put an end to the reigh of Dath Caedus, her twin brother Jacen Solo, and restore peace to the galaxy...

Synopsis

The film opens with Jaina's X-wing navigating a battle between the forces of the Hapes Consortium and the Galactica Alliance fleet, including a space station, an Imperial star destroyer, and numerous TIE fighters. Having infiltrated the ship, Jaina easily disarms the guards and their captain, CeeCee, and makes her way to the cell where the injured bounty hunter Mirta Gev--the granddaughter of Boba Fett--is held captive. Jaina is horrified to learn that Darth Caedus has tortured Mirta and she is now paralyzed. Jaina vows to return for the bounty hunter once she's completed her mission to destroy the Sith Lord Darth Caedus.

Before Jaina leaves, Mirta reveals that the Moffs have taken her blood and used it to design a nanokiller to target her grandfather. Jaina gives Mirta the guards' discarded weapons once Mirta assures she won't use them to kill herself. Mirta says that Jacen underestimates Jaina's abilities and that the Mandalorian combat training she and Fett gave Jaina will give her the edge in the upcoming fight. Jaina is skeptical as she says good-bye. As Jaina departs, she hears blaster fire from behind her and swears, though it is unclear who Mirta has shot.

Meanwhile, Caedus confronts his imprisoned father-in-law, Prince Isolder of Hapes. Isolder is furious at Caedus's treatment of his family, but Caedus Force-chokes him into compliance. He informs the bewildered Isolder that he must either release his prisoner or kill him, lest the Moffs use him as the base for a nanokiller to target Tenel Ka. When Isolder spits in his face and refuses to cooperate, Caedus murders him.

Jaina spies on her brother as he brings Isolder's corpse to a holding room. Caedus finds bruises on Isolder's arm and realizes that the Moffs have already taken the prince's blood samples to construct a nanovirus aimed at Tenel Ka and Allana. Enraged at this betrayal, Caedus contacts his aide Orlopp, and learns that a ship carrying the samples has already departed. As Caedus opens the door to leave, he runs straight into Jaina, who stabs him with her lightsaber.

A wounded Caedus slams Jaina into a wall and projects Force lightning at her, which she catches on her lightsaber. In a pause during the pitched battle, Caedus begs Jaina to stop because he must save Tenel Ka and Allana. Jaina counters by demanding if he means they will end up like Isolder. When Caedus claims that Isolder sacrificed himself to save them, and that "we don't have time for this," Jaina screams "So die already!" and charges.

Jaina refuses to stop fighting even when grievously wounded by Caedus, who attempts to flee so he can rescue Tenel Ka and Allana. Jaina uses the Force to slam the door shut, trapping him in the room with her. Both siblings keep fighting one-handed. When she stabs her brother at last, Caedus sends a call through the Force to Tenel Ka, warning her that she and Allana are in danger before he dies. The film ends with Jaina standing over the corpse of her murdered twin, gasping for breath.

Reactions on YouTube

This entire film was nearly word for word out of the book. I practically recited it in it's entirety while I was watching. [2]

This is such a perfect replication of the scenes in the books. The amount of time and effort is obvious. I also love the emotion of the characters (you could truly feel the tragedy, how Caedus was not so much evil as ammoral, and how Jaina had pretty much written her brother off as dead and beyond saving until his last moments). [3]

This film is my top Star Wars fan film. It's ridiculously amazing. The cast and crew deserve a standing ovation.[4]
