Overview
Fan fiction featuring actors from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, and Firefly has never been as popular or pervasive as Fictional Person Fiction for those same shows. While fans still seek out, read, write, and request Jossverse RPF in multifandom challenges, most notably Yuletide, Pretty Lights, and various porn battles, the fandom as such is relative inactive.
Glitter
The only currently available archive that this wiki'er knows of exclusively for Jossverse RPF is Glitter, created by Kita and opened June 28, 2004. It was last updated October 20, 2007. Glitter archives about 60 fics, almost all of them boyslash. Predominately featured characters are James Marsters, David Boreanaz, Vincent Kartheiser, Christian Kane, Nicholas Brendon and Kelly Donovan (Nicholas Brendon's twin brother and occasional stunt double). A few stories about Alexis Denisof, J. August Richards and Sarah Michelle Gellar are also archived.
Eden (and The Things Men Do)
Eden, an Adam Baldwin fansite, contains a small archive of RPF featuring Adam with various actors from Firefly and the Buffyverse. It was last updated by owner Evil Manic Laugh in July, 2006[1].
At one point, Evil Manic Laugh also hosted an archive called The Things Men Do, but it is no longer available on hir website.[2]
General LiveJournal Communities
- btvs_rps is for both Buffy and Angel actors. The focus is slash, but het is permitted. There are almost 200 entries, the community was created in December 2003, is moderated by rubywisp and xanphibian, and still occasionally updated.
- Firefly RPS allows m/m and f/f slash featuring Firefly actors (and crew) with each other or with actors from other sources (e.g., BtVS). It was founded in March, 2006 and is moderated by randominity and vandonovan. While the community has only a few entries, it does provide overviews for some popular pairings, and it is unlocked.
- The Firefly RPF Community, on the other hand, is friends-locked -- posts are only accessible to members. It was founded in April, 2004 and is maintained by skripka. The community is open to m/m slash, femslash, gen, het, and meta featuring the Firefly cast and/or crew. There are 100+ entries, most of them fic.
Alphabet Soup
The BTVS ATS RPS RPG is called Alphabet Soup for perhaps obvious reasons. It was founded by zortified in July, 2003. [3] and remained active until January, 2004.
