Haikyuu Calendar 2023 was a art calendar planned to feature art from various fan artists for Haikyuu!!. The project was discontinued due to overlap with Sincerely Yours (Haikyuu Zine), which was experiencing production and moderation troubles.
About
Interest checks were open from Feburary 22, 2022 to March 1, 2022. Applications were open from March 5, 2022 to April 5, 2022. Only four of the chosen artists were announced on the project's social media account.
Discontinuation
On April 4, 2022, the mods announced the project would be discontinued in response to the fallout of Sincerely Yours (Haikyuu Zine). The following statement was posted on the project's Twitter account:
After much discussion, the Haikyuu Calendar Mod Team has decided that the overlap of multiple mods between both the zine in question and Haikyuu Calendars means it is best to dissolve the 2023 Haikyuu Calendar project for now.This has been an incredibly difficult decision to make, however we believe this is for the best. There is a possibility of reviving this project after things have been resolved for a 2023 calendar, but we are unable to guarantee this at the time.
Thank you to all the applications we have received -- your hard work has not gone unrecognized. We apologize for any inconvenience during this time & we thank you for your patience while we worked on this situation.
