The Finnish Bands fandom is an RPF fandom that includes fiction about different bands from Finland. It is one of the larger fandoms on Fanfiktion.de. The Archive of our Own uses the tag "Finnish Music RPF".

The oldest story in this fandom on Fanfiktion.de was published in 2004. The oldest story on AO3 dates back to 2006. Bands that are frequently featured in this fandom include HIM, The Rasmus, Nightwish, Lovex, Negative, Private Line, Uniklubi, Apocalyptica, Reflexion, Children of Bodom, Sonata Arctica or Lordi. The amount of Sunrise Avenue fanfiction on Fanfiktion.de has increased so rapidly that the band was given their own category. Another frequently featured solo artist is the Finnish singer Robin Packalen.

Since a lot of these bands are no longer active, the fandom has become relatively quiet in the recent years. However, after the Eurovision Song Contest 2021, the fandom has been revived by the Finnish act Blind Channel, which has an own tag on AO3. Other bands that are featured in the Finnish Music RPF these days are Lost Society, Shiraz Lane or Santa Cruz.

Within the Finnish bands fandom it is usual to mix members of several bands. The Finnish music scene is rather small and closely connected, so that artists are often well known with each other, support each other and tour a lot together. The friendships that have formed between members of different bands have been transferred into fanfiction.
