Basch is a main character in the Square Enix game Final Fantasy XII.
Canon
Framed for murder by his presumed-dead twin, Basch follows the code of the knight despite his fall from grace, and will protect anyone and anything to his full capabilities. Family issues are rife, however that doesn't stop him fiercely defending what he believes.
Fandom
Tasked with protecting Princess Ashe, Basch is likely to appear in fic involving her, even if it is just as a support.
Shipping
Basch is most likely to be shipped with Ashe, partly due to his task of protecting her, and partly because Fran and Penelo both have respective ‘partners’. Basch is possibly the least shipped of the main characters in Final Fantasy XII for reasons such as these.
