AA6 Countdown is a month-long fan project where artists create pieces to be posted on the days counting down to the international release of Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice, the sixth mainline installment of the Ace Attorney games.

About

On July 8, 2016, the project was announced on its social media account along with the list of artists personally invited to contribute[1]. The original scope of the project would take place over 30 days, but due to Capcom's delay in announcing the release date, the project would be slimmed down to 20 days[2].

At first, there would be no application process for new contributors, only invitations, as the moderators wished for more control over the project's workflow[3]. Later on August 19, 2016, the project opened up for submissions for collaborative pieces that any artist can participate in[4]. These submissions would be compiled into single illustrations that would be released when publication began.

The project began posting pieces on August 18, 2016, marking 20 days until the game's release[5]. For the corresponding days, the project's social media accounts would post the finished pieces with the artists linked to the pieces. At the end of the project, Mod Athena posted a heartfelt letter of thanks to fellow Mods Phoenix and Apollo, the artists who contributed to the project, and fans who followed and supported the artwork[6].

The project's Tumblr account remains up to preserve the submitted art pieces, while the Twitter account has since then been repurposed to organize a countdown event for the release of a new Ace Attorney game.

Unfortunately this event is something our group have decided to monitor closely. Each participant is someone we personally invite after discussion between at least three or four people. I’m sorry to decline your offer but this way we can decide how the event is going turn out. It gives us more control of the workflow in general. I hope you understand, thank you
