Jennifer/Ronon is the Stargate: Atlantis ship that never-quite-was. For some time in Season 5, Jennifer Keller and Ronon Dex demonstrated a mutual attraction to one another. The episode Quarantine hinted at the possibility of a developing relationship between the two of them, which appealed to a number of fans. However, the pairing was never actually realised in canon—Jennifer went on to date Rodney McKay, and the series finale implied the beginning of a relationship between Ronon and Amelia Banks.
Jennifer/Ronon is still a frequently occurring pairing in fanfic despite this, whether as a primary or a secondary pairing. According to sga_newsletter statistics, while it is less common than the biggest het pairings in the fandom, Sheppard/Weir and John/Teyla, it is more than twice as popular as Ronon/Teyla, Rodney/Teyla or the canonical McKay/Keller.[1]
