Doubtful information here: the source link says 1958, not 1948, and lists a different artist. If Devlin (the flickr user) is not the artist, then the permission status is unclear. I think photos posted to Flickr are CC licensed, but if this is a scan of a newspaper, then that CC license may not apply?--æþel (talk) 00:29, 6 May 2013 (UTC)

Not all flickr images are licensed under Creative Commons, you have to check each one (which was done for this image) - flickr has a handy tool that allows you to search for CC images to use in non-commercial settings with attribution. In the case of this magazine ad, which was published in 1948, it has most likely fallen in the public domain (unless the copyright was renewed in the 1960s). The renewal rate for pre-1963 books was only 7%. For magazines the number is most likely even lower. http://copyright.cornell.edu/resources/publicdomain.cfm So I think we can go with the copyright as reported by the flickr user - Creative Commons. The specific license for images found on flickr is located in the lower right of of the image page. This one reads: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/2.0/deed.en.--MeeDee (talk) 06:37, 6 May 2013 (UTC)
