Empathy Press was a UK based fanzine publisher that began publishing Star Trek fanzines in the 1970s. It became "Empathy Publications."

It was run by Dorothy 'Dot' Owens, Lea Mount, and Carol Keogh (the UK FanArchive lists the founders as Barbara Kitson (later Edwards) and Catherine Owens (later Perkins).

Name Confusion

In fact, for a short while there were two zine publishers in the UK by that name. One, Empathy Press started publishing in the 1990s and was run by Morag Phillips. In 1993, Morag posted an announcement in a UK newsletter indicating the name of her press changed to "Rosetta Productions". See her letter at Empathy Press (1990s).

This original Empathy Press later changed its name to "Empathy Publications."
