Barbara Wenk is a fan writer. One of her most well-known zines is One Way Mirror.

In 1982, she was nominated for a FanQ award and submitted the following bio to The Annual Fan Q Awards Nominations Booklet:

"Barbara Wenk has been in fandom since about 1968 when a college friend (from Pittsburgh, a neighbor of Martynn's) took her to a LunaCon, where she discovered that Isaac Asimov was not, as she'd previously supposed, a nine-foot tall, dignified, godlike being. She discovered Star Trek in 1966 when her father, in a misguided attempt to wean her from her infatuation with U.N.C.L.E., dragooned her into watching ST because she liked science fiction. This eventually led Dad into such peculiar fuctions as Supplier of Freihofer's Chocolate Chip Cookies to the NY Star Trek Convention of 1975. (Her father now claims he never said any such thing as "Why don't you watch STAR TREK. Barbara, I'm sure you'd like it." He did.) And so she went her merry trekkish way...and you'll never, NEVER guess what she discovered in 1977... She's been published in MASIFORM D, TIME WARP, WARPED SPACE, GUARDIAN, TWIN SUNS, PEGASUS, and her high school literary magazine, and co-authored a story with Joyce Yasner in SKYWALKER. Upcoming stuff is due from STARWINGS, EQUAL SPACE 2, and OUTLANDS CHRONICLE. Barb was a two-time Fan Q Award winner, last year."
