WOTF Scourge AMV - Bones Shatter is the title of a three-minute long Warrior Cats animated music video by Alli Kat (AlliKatNya) from 2008. In the title, "WOTF" stands for "Warriors of the Forest," an acronym not commonly used in later Warrior Cats fandom, but which is common in early Warrior Cat video titles.[1]

WOTF Scourge AMV follows the plot of the first Warrior Cat's series, Warriors: The Prophecies Begin, which consisted of six books. It depicts Firepaw's assention into clan leadership, earning the star upon his forehead which marks him leader of Thunderclan and christened Firestar. Then, he and his clan fight Scourge, a vengeful and cruel black cat who dies by the end of the video.
WOTF Scourge AMV is drawn in a simplified anime style, which was popular for very early Warrior Cat video fandom on YouTube. Alli Kat did not use an animation program to create the video, instead drawing each frame in a separate program (likely MS Paint) and threading them together in a video program (likely Windows Movie Maker). While most of the backgrounds were drawn by Alli Kat, some were live action.[2]

Reaction and Influence
On July 15, 2021, Tumblr user madmozarteanfelinefantasy shared an edited image of a Warrior Cat's fandom iceberg meme in which Bones Shatter was included at the top of the iceberg.[6] The meme was shared on Reddit, and one thread specifically questioned the inclusion of Bones Shatter, titling their post as: "Can anybody quickly explain to me what "bones shatter" on the first stage of this warriors iceberg?" In the replies, one user mistook the animation for an old multi-animator project, though the animation was in actuality made by a single artist. Another reply stated that Bones Shatter was their favorite AMV to date.[7]
On June 10, 2022, a piece of Bones Shatter fanart on DeviantART by Euqinim0dArt was awarded as a Daily Deviation.[8] On Tumblr there is a very small amount of Bones Shatter fanart, such as a piece made by dirtplace-tunnel which depicts three late 2000s Firestar designs, including the design from Bones Shatter.[9]
Alli Kat would use the popularity of her video for later content, such as creating stickers based off of the vid for Redbubble and referencing the vid in her Warrior Cats zine project, Clanzine.[10]
