Modding

Harvest Moon has a small modding community. One of the most well known mods is the "True Love Edition" which was originally created for Friends of Mineral Town. The mod allowed male player character to marry other male characters, and female player character to marry other female characters.[1] It went on to inspire similar mods for other Harvest Moon games.[2]
